My career as a designer has been deeply influenced by my first love: magazines. I enjoy the design process and working with different departments to create one cohesive product. Magazines gave me an early understanding of brand voice, vision, cohesion, and integrity. They ignited my passion for layout and design while fueling my interest in photography, styling, and art direction. I was fortunate to have an amazingly talented creative director as a mentor early in my career and that has shaped how I approach my design and creativity. The connections, experiences, and skills I’ve gained working in art departments have been invaluable to my growth as a creative person.
